The weather is beautiful. The temperature is about 22 degrees Celsius. Some people are searching for the remains of ‘Lives’ in the dead rocks of ‘Murali mountain’ in the state of ‘Jharkhand’.
Here the rocks have got the impression of Leaf Impressions of Jurassic Period. Jurassic period is the period when the dinosaur were found on this Earth.
Scientists are now engaged in research so that it can be ascertained whether there was any possibility of lives of Dinosours.
Geologist Ranjit Kumar Singh told : “The team of Geological Survey of India has found fossils of eggs in Katghar village, they look like eggs of reptiles, are small, all the dinosaurs were not giant. It was like chickens. “
Ranjit Singh says that the fossils of trees found here are from the Mesozoic period – this is the same period when the dinosaurs were believed to be found on earth.
Scientists say that the need for clean water was needed to grow these trees. Dinosaurs were also accustomed to living in the same environment. The possibilities of having dinosaurs in the palaces of Rajmahal are being linked to these similarities.Fossils of Patlofylum, Thinfeldia, Braquephilm and Tenniopteris species have been found in the palace of the palace. It is possible that the leaves and twigs of these trees are being eaten by vegetarian dinosaurs.
In these hills , the archaeologist Scientist Birbal Sahni discovered the fossil of Pantozyli species. Then this first time it was revealed that the fossils of Jurassic, Triassic and Lower Critaceous-era trees were present here.
Birbal Sahni first came to Rajmahal in 1946. This was the time when the Rajmahal passenger trains did not come and Sahni had to come here on board the cargo train.Since then, indigenous and foreign scientists have been engaged in the search of fossils in Sahibganj and Pakud in Jharkhand.Fossils of trees have recently been found in Sonadodi of Paakud. According to Prasannjit Mukherjee, Head of Department of Botany, KKM College, Paakud, these fossils can be 65 to 150 million years old.
The Jharkhand government has announced that it is going to build a fossil park in the city of Sahibabad, for which a agreement has been signed with Birbal Sahni Institute, Lucknow.Chief Minister Raghuvar Das says that fossils found in the Rajmahal area in the country’s first fossil park and therefore need to be preserved.
Meanwhile, the Jharkhand government has received a letter from GSI to declare this area as a protected area. It is possible that soon in the future course of time, this area should be declared protected.
