Minutes after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) declared Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was kept under confinement in his residence after his stopover to the farmers dissenting the three central farm laws at the metropolis’s Singhu boundary on Monday, Delhi Constabulary rebutted the accusations on Tuesday.

“ BJP’s Delhi Constabulary has kept Hon’ble CM @Arvind Kejriwal under confinement in his residence ever since he visited farmers at Singhu boundary yesterday. No one has been authorized to leave or enter his house,” the regnant party wrote on Twitter.
The constabulary also took to Twitter to say that Kejriwal practices his entitlements to free manoeuvre within the law of the province & shared a picture of the entrance of the chief minister’s residence.
“The CM approached the farmers at Singhu boundary yesterday. He had claimed that we will serve them like altruistic & assist them. After he returned, Delhi Constabulary obstructed his home from all sides keeping him in a confinement in his residence like circumstance, at the command of the home ministry,” AAP pioneer Saurabh Bharadwaj stated in a brief media discourse.
Soon after the party’s tweet, Kejriwal’s cabinet ministers also took to social media platform to censure the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) – led administration at the Centre. “Delhi Chief Minister @Arvind Kejriwal’s confinement in his residence means that the BJP administration wants to stop every voice that is in succour of farmers,” health minister Satyendar Jain tweeted in Hindi with a hashtag #BJPHouseArrestsKejriwal. In another tweet in Hindi, the AAP’s Sanjay Singh claimed “Soon after Arvind Kejriwal returned at his residence post meetingdissenting farmers at the Singhu boundary, he was kept under confinement in his residence on orders of Union Home Minister Amit Shah so that he can not come out of his residence to support the bandh call.”
The AAP also mentioned to Kejriwal’s denial to turn the municipality’s nine stadiums into detainment centres for farmers last month when the dissents commenced. “The Kejriwal that stopped the stadium from becoming prisons, today the BJP has made the same Kejriwal’s residence a jail,” the AAP tweeted in Hindi.
The Twitter strike by the Delhi’s governing party comes a day after the chief minister & the national AAP co – Ordinator communicated with several dissenting farmers & also supervised the arrangements made by the municipality government for them at the Singhu boundary.
I have not come here as the chief serve. I have come here as an altruistic. We succour all requests of the farmers. Their problems & requests are substantial. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) & I have stood in succour of the farmers right from the beginning,” Kejriwal told correspondents during his stopover.
Thousands of farmers, who have been dissenting at Delhi boundaries since November 26 in opposition to three farm legislation sanctioned by the administration during the monsoon hearing of Parliament, have called for a four – hour emblematic across the country attack & AAP is among several other rivalry parties, including the Congress, Trinamool Congress, NCP & Shiv Sena succouring the Bharat Bandh call.
