Burning of Stubble in Western UP : Smoke Approaching Towards the National Capital

So far,a huge burning of stubble in the border areas of Punjab, Haryana and Pakistan has already started now a day.It has so far not affected the pollution of Delhi NCR due to the direction of the winds.

But now how long will the winds support. The process of stubble burning has started in western UP during the last 24 hours may creater trouble for the National Capital. As per the report, the speed of the winds is low at this time and now theadverse effect of stubble for Delhi and NCR will increase as per experts.

Not only this, according to the estimate, during the last 48 hours a large number of stubble has been burnt in the areas of Punjab, Haryana and near the border area of Delhi.The burning of straw in Western UP is absolutely bad news for Delhi’s air Index. On Wednesday, the pollution due to the above causes was just 5% whereas by October 18 it will increase to 7%.

According to CPCB’s Air Bulletin, Delhi has reached very poor level of pollution for the first time. Delhi’s air index stood at 304 on Wednesday.
