Contribute towards welfare of Armed forces fund: Governor

On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, Governor Bandaru Dattatraya was pinned up Armed Forces Flag by the officials of State Sainik Welfare Department at Raj Bhavan. The Governor gave donation to assist the dependents of the martyred soldiers on the occasion.

He appealed to the people of the state to contribute to promote solidarity with sense of belonging to those who have sacrificed for our safety and security without any demand in return. He added that the Flag Day underlined our obligation to the Armed Forces personnel, ex-servicemen and their dependents and our contribution on the occasion was a token of affection and gratitude towards them. He said that our contributions would value their sacrifice and would be an appreciation of their deeds in war and peace time.
Lt. Colonel Piar Singh Attri and Deputy Director State Sainik Welfare were also present among others on the occasion.

CM urges people to contribute for Armed Forces fund

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was pinned up the flag on the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day here today by Lt. Col. P.S. Attri, Deputy Director Sainik Welfare Department.
Chief Minister also contributed towards the Armed Welfare Fund.
Jai Ram Thakur also urged the people of the State to contribute generously towards this fund as it was used for welfare of serving and ex-servicemen.

Jal Shakti and Sainik Welfare Minister Mahender Singh Thakur, Secretary GAD and Sainik Welfare Devesh Kumar and other senior officers were also present on the occasion.
