Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Vijendra Gupta said that neither his party has sought any support from Gopal Kanda to form the government in Haryana nor has it said that the party has offered the support to Kanda. is accepted. The leader of the opposition of the Delhi Legislative assembly claimed that Kanda has been chosen by the people of Haryana and as far as the Geetika Sharma suicide case is concerned, the law is taking its course. Mr. Gupta urged that the Aam Aadmi Party is again trying to mislead the public by raising this issue and diverting attention from the main issues.
Gupta said that in fact in the Haryana assembly elections and in the by-election of Punjab the Aam Aadmi Party has secured just one or two percent votes of people and even less than that in many places.
BJP MP from West Delhi, Pravesh Verma said that he believes that if the government can be formed in Haryana without the support of Gopal Kanda, then the party should not take its support.
South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri also put forward his view that Gopal Kanda was chosen by the people of Haryana, not by BJP. It is his right to decide whom he intends to support or not.
The Aam Aadmi Party has alleged that in Haryana in which BJP at one hand is campaigning for ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ and on the other hand playing with sentiments of people of Haryana by taking the support of Kanda for whom not mere a ‘BETI’, evenBeti’s Mother also had committed suicide.
In a press conference at the party headquarters, AAP MP Sanjay Singh alleged further that BJP is following everything unethical to form the government forgetting the democratic ethos of Indian democracy.
The BJP also has no objection to take the support of Gopal Kanda, against which the leader of the same party like Uma Bharti also suggested the party supremo not take the support of Gopal Kanda.
