Modi Government and RSS are against the common people: Srinivas BV

New Delhi: Thousands of Indian Youth Congress activists protested against the atrocities on farmers, unemployment among youth and skyrocketing prices of petrol and diesel. This Sansad Gherao of activists from all over the country was led by National President of Indian Youth Congress Srinivas BV. Srinivas said, “The central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is anti-farmer and against the youngsters of the country. The Prime Minister is the culprit of youth and farmers. The Prime Minister lied by promising two crore jobs and now he is suppressing the voice of crores of farmers to benefit his capitalist friends. I want to tell Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the RSS-BJP government at the Center that democracy does not allow arbitrary and dictatorship. We will always struggle on the streets for public issues.’

The Youth Congress workers meeting was held at Jantar Mantar before the Sansad Gherao, it was addressed by the leader of the Congress Parliamentary Party in Lok Sabha Shri Adhiranjan Chaudhary, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Digvijay Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Dependra Hooda, AICC SC department Chairman and Minister of Maharashtra Government Shri Nitin Raut, Lok Sabha MP Shri Hibi Eden, Lok Sabha MP Shri Dinesh Kashyap, Congress Bihar Incharge Shri Bhakta Charan Das, Delhi Congress President Shri Anil Chaudhary, Mahila Congress National President Ms. Sushmita Dev, National President of NSUI Shri Neeraj Kundan, AICC National Secretary Shri Virendra Rathore, Delhi Congress senior leader Smt. Alka Lamba, Delhi Congress Vice President Shri Jaikishan, Shri Abhishek Dutt, National General Secretary of Mahila Congress Miss Neta D’Souza, Delhi Mahila Congress President Smt. Amrita Dhawan, and exposed anti-women, anti farmers, anti labourers policies and exploits of the Modi government.

Srinivas said, “The central government asks for the votes of the farmers and young women, but when the youth asks for employment, they get lathis. Every woman’s kitchen is suffering from inflation but no one is listening to them. The black agricultural laws were brought in to get the peasants’ land occupied by their capitalist friends, but instead of listening to their voice, the RSS BJP and Prime Minister Modi are doing the job of saying Khalistani, Pakistani and anti-nationals. He said, Prime Minister of India is not working for 135 crores people, but only for four to five entrepreneurs. The anti-farmer black law is the whims of the Prime Minister and if these anti-people laws are not withdrawn, there will be fierce fighting on the streets. Today, we are going to do Sansad Gherao to awaken this dumb deaf government.’

The Youth Congress president shouted at the central government, saying, “The general public of India is troubled by rising inflation but the government is giving a speech instead of giving relief to them.” By making the youth unemployed, Modi wants to spread hatred among them, but now the youth is not going to come in the politics of jumlas. The central government is charging 30 rupees tax on one litre of petrol, this is an injustice to the general public. The youth of India knows how to respond to such government.’

He said, “This government is anti-farmer and against yougsters. The BJP and RSS say Khalistani, Pakistani and anti-national on demanding rights for the farmer who is the food provider of the country. The Prime Minister of the country calls agitators in the Parliament as Andoolan Jeevi, this tells us about their policies and intentions. The Indian Youth Congress is fighting the battle of youth and farmers and will continue to fight even further. We will not allow the government to be arbitrary.

In todays Sansad Gherao, all the National General Secretaries of Youth Congress including all National Secretaries, National office bearers, all State Presidents of Youth Congress and thousands of workers were present.
