October, 2019 Horoscope by Shelka Sharma

There are two significant events to note this October 2019! First of all, on the 2nd, Mars turns to retrograde motion, in Taurus and will not return to direct motion until the second week of December.
Depending on where you have Mars in your chart, this could have the effect of easing some of the tension in your life. And then on the  3rd, the Sun is eclipsed by the New Moon in Libra, heralding a time of new beginnings.
Where those opportunities for a new start will be depends upon your Sun sign. So to see what this means for you, read on…

This is likely to be a highly significant month for you! First of all, your time and attention lately has been on your finances or matters to do with your personal property.

Now, as Mars assumes retrograde motion in this area of your chart, you can expect a slow down of your plans. Perhaps you are inclined to back pedal a little, which is no bad thing, particularly as, with the New Moon eclipsing the Sun in Libra, you have an opportunity to make a new beginning where partnerships are concerned.

And since Jupiter spends a last three weeks also in Libra, before moving on into Scorpio, never has there been a greater chance for you to make your closest relationships all you want and need them to be.

As Mars turns retrograde in your sign expect some hold ups or delays in your current projects. You have probably been very busy lately and now you may feel a little frazzled as a result.

But with the New Moon eclipsing the Sun in Libra, it is work or health matters that occupy most of your attention. You now have a chance to make a new beginning where the work scene is concerned and also in matters to do with your health or diet.

And with Jupiter nearing the end of its journey through Libra, if you haven’t yet taken advantage of the opportunities that have presented themselves to you over the past year, where either your job or your health is concerned, then it is time that you did!

Mars has spent the last two months in the area of your chart connected with self sacrifice, and you may have been giving much of your time to helping others less fortunate than yourself.

Or you may have been putting much energy into a project that has yet to be unveiled. Now, with Mars retrograde, there is a slow down in your plans or less demand for your time from others.

But in the meantime, the New Moon eclipses the Sun in Libra, where Jupiter has been providing you with opportunities to grow and develop creatively. Now you have the chance for a new beginning in any creative venture, even for trying something new that gives you pleasure, which could range from games of any sort to romance.

Mars in Taurus has been pushing you towards working with others and encouraging you to spend time on your long term objectives. If you have been able to find like minded people with whom to work, then progress will have been made, but now, as Mars turns retrograde, you can expect a slowing down of your plans here.

In the meantime, however, the New Moon on the 3rd, which eclipses the Sun in the area of your chart connected with home and family, heralds important new beginnings for you in this respect.

While Jupiter has spent the last year in Libra, you have had many opportunities for growth or expansion in your home or family life. Since Jupiter moves on later this October, why not reach out now and take that step forward?

While Mars has been in the area of your chart connected with your career and your public persona, you have been at your most ambitious, although working in harmony with colleagues will have needed some effort on your part.

Now that Mars turns retrograde you relax a little and are less competitive and easier to get along with. Meanwhile, the New Moon on Monday, which eclipses the Sun in Libra, suggests that those opportunities that you have been experiencing throughout the last year regarding a change of location, or getting to grips with new ways of communicating, even learning new skills, are again being dangled in front of your nose!

Jupiter only spends another three weeks in this area of your chart and the New Moon suggests new beginnings – so why not?

While Mars has been in Taurus, a lot of your time and energy has no doubt revolved around foreign matters, whether with travel or people, or perhaps in legal business too.

And now, with Mars retrograde, you will need all your patience, as there may be a slowing down, or delays in your plans. But in the meantime, the New Moon, which eclipses the Sun in the area of your chart connected with your finances, allows you to make new beginnings where income or property is concerned.

Jupiter is about to move on from here, having been presenting you with opportunities to improve either your income or your property during the past year. Now is the time to make that new start – will you take the opportunity to do so?

The New Moon eclipses the Sun in your sign on the 3rd, and emphasises and reiterates what Jupiter has been offering you for the past year. You have a chance for a new beginning, an opportunity to change your attitude or your life in a big and advantageous way.

Later in the month, the emphasis moves to your income and possessions, where you are inclined to be generous and even extravagant. But with Mars in Taurus, it seems you are prepared to fight for what you feel is rightfully yours where jointly owned property or shared resources are concerned. With Mars retrograde until early December, however, you may be persuaded to settle for less than you hoped for.

While Mars, the co-ruler of your sign, remains in Taurus, there are signs of tension with partners or in your closest relationships. If you have a very good and strong relationship, however, much can be accomplished between you at this time.

But now, with Mars in retrograde motion until early December, work on your joint projects slows down a little. And where tension between you is concerned, you are inclined to back off somewhat from your position of non-compromise, thus improving matters between you.

In the meantime, the New Moon eclipses the Sun in the area of your chart connected with hidden matters and selfless love and you may now make a fresh beginning in this direction.

And as you do so you will find, to your delight and gratification, that as Jupiter enters your sign at the end of the month, you enter a whole new phase of personal growth and self development that could set you on the right path for the next twelve years!

While Mars remains in Taurus you are likely to have been suffering from some tension, either in the workplace or where your health and fitness is concerned. No doubt you have been working hard in either or both of these areas, but have also experienced some frustration whilst doing so.

With Mars now retrograde in this area of your chart, whilst you continue to put in the effort, the tension should ease up slightly. Meanwhile, the New Moon eclipses the Sun in Libra and you have a wonderful opportunity to review and re-evaluate your long term goals and to find a group of like minded people to help you work towards them.

Jupiter, your ruler, spends a last few weeks here so don’t miss your chance to find new friends and acquaintances who will join you in achieving your ideals.

Jupiter has spent nearly a year in the area of your chart connected with your career or public persona and during this time any efforts you have made to get ahead should have resulted in considerable progress, with recognition or promotion.

Now the New Moon eclipses the Sun here and you have a chance to capitalise on all that effort, to show the world a new you, or take an entirely new direction with your career or objectives.

For the last two months, however, Mars has been chipping away at your self discipline, trying to get you to take time out to enjoy yourself or to give free rein to your creativity.

But now, as Mars goes retrograde for a few weeks, you should be able to put the urge to have fun on the back burner and concentrate on your career and reputation at this very important time.

While Mars has been in Taurus, your home and family will have been claiming much of your energy, time and attention and there would have been a certain amount of tension in the home if anyone tried to oppose your plans!

Now, however, Mars turns retrograde and your plans suffer a slow down which will be to your advantage in the long term. Meanwhile, and more importantly, the New Moon eclipses the Sun in Libra on the 3rd and you have the opportunity to make a new beginning where travel, education or even legal matters are concerned.

This continues the influence of Jupiter here during the past year, which has been giving you opportunities to widen your horizons in some way, perhaps by learning more about the world, its people and its languages. Since such major ingredients for change happen rarely, should you pass up this chance?

Jupiter has been in the area of your chart connected with jointly owned property or shared resources for the past year, bringing you opportunities for expansion in this respect.

Now the New Moon eclipses the Sun here and heralds new beginnings where such matters are concerned. This could be a wonderful chance to restructure your joint budget or to benefit in some way from your shared property.

In any case, you have three more weeks to make up your mind before Jupiter moves on into Scorpio. But can it be just co-incidence that the Full Moon on the 17th occurs in Aries, the area of your chart connected with your personal income and property and indicating, finally, that there can be a resolution to your financial dilemma?
