Photos of Armed forces can’t be used for Election Campaigns: ECI

The general advisory re-issued by Election Commission of India, (ECI) on 19 March,2019, calls upon the contesting candidate or political parties to desist from displaying photographs of defence personnel or photographs of any function involving defence personnel in advertisements issued by them.
As per the communiqué from ECI, the Political Parties are advised to refrain from indulging in any political propaganda or campaigning as part of their election campaign by using photographs of defence personnel for reaping political gain.
