According to government sources, the government has certain to withdraw the full proof SPG security guards of Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Now the Gandhi family will be given mere ‘Z Plus’ protection under the admin of CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) across India which comes under the authority of Union Home Ministry of the Central Government.

At present all of these members of Gandhi Family have been provided full proof SPG security which soon will be withdrawn as per the latest information.

But after this decision of the Central Government, the responsibility of providing security to the Gandhi family will not the part and parcel of Special Protection Group (SPG) but shall be the ultimate responsibility of CRPF.

A senior official informed that recently, after conducting a security assessment, the central government decided to withdraw the security of the Special Protection Team (SPG) which has been provided to the Gandhi family.
Significantly, Sonia Gandhi’s husband and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and his mother-in-law and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi were both brutally murdered due to major security lapses.

Before some days, the government recently also had removed the SPG security provided to the former Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh.
