Arshvant Srivastava continues winning run, bags 3rd title

Dense fog engulfed Delhi-NCR this Friday morning but it hardly proved a dampener for young golfers who were out in large numbers to show their mettle in the Classic Golf and Country Club in Gurugram, Haryana to play the 5th event of the US Golf kids India tour 2018-19.
The best talent in India in kids golf from various parts of India such as Kolkata, Pune, Meerut and Mohali, among others came to take part in the fifth leg of the tournament. Interestingly, three kids, who are from London (UK), Richmond (US) and John Creek (US), also took part in the tournament.

After completing its fantastic run in the southern part of India, US Golf Kids India returned to Delhi-NCR this week. Foggy and cold conditions made the conditions and the course tougher but the well-structured format of the tour made it an easy one for children.
Weather conditions were hardly a factor for Arshvant Srivastava, in the Boys 9 category, who topped once again for the third time with a disciplined score in the back 9 to notch up his third win of the tour.
14 year old Krishnav Chopra from Delhi posted a brilliant score of 1 over par to top the table in his category of Boys 13-14 while Anshul Kabthiyal also from Delhi looked good with a 2 over par in the same category. Aryaman Mahant from Delhi was impressive in Boys 15-18 year old and topped the group with a score of 75. Shlok Jain all the way from the US had enough reason to cheer by winning the boys 12 with a score of 75.
The girls equally fought the biting cold as they showed some exceptional class in their stroke play. With scores of 78 and 79, Ragini Navet and Sifat Sayal bagged the first two positions among the girls 12-14 years. Rhea Kumar continued her winning streak in her category of Girls 8-9. But this time she had to share the winners trophy with Parnika Sharma from Noida, UP, both posting a score of 39.
Recognised as a world leader in youth golf, U.S. Kids Golf is dedicated to helping young players enjoy golf with age appropriate yardages.
Rajesh Srivastava, President, U.S. Kids Golf India said, “It is amazing to see the participation of young golfers from all over the country. Three kids have come all the way from the UK and US which is very motivating for us. From here onwards we can only dream of junior golf growing in the country.”
The U.S. Kids Golf India Tour will also carry ranking points, and with participation in a minimum of four events out of the eight, the junior golfers will be able to gain qualification for the U.S. Kids World Championship, U.S. Kids European Championships as well as U.S. Kids Teen World Championship.
Subsequent events will be held at some of the finest courses in India, including Golf Club and Poona Club Golf Course (Pune) and Chandigarh with the last one at Classic Golf & Country Club (Delhi NCR).
