In the build up to the launch of Est. Form , collaborators Sohni of House of S ōh n and artist Oona hosted Fashion For Brunch at Cecconi’s, Mumbai.
Moderated by Noi Cecilla Oldne the conversation explored their ongoing cross-disciplinary collaboration and future plans for their creative collective that has integrated fashion and art in a series of sculptural installations and “wearable art” pieces.
The event received a positive response, with an engaged audience that included model Diva Dhawan, Vijay Chand and artist Jaya Lamba among other enthusiastic supporters of the collaborative project.
The brunch also previewed an installation-style artwork and two “wearable art” pieces along with a selection of photographs. Guests were served a light brunch with champagne to keep the mood of a lively conversation.
Fashion for Brunch is a format that was introduced by Cecconi’s to bring an intelligent conversation on fashion. Cecconi’s restaurants across the world host Fashion for Brunch on the first Saturday of every month, bringing together the most creative minds in the business to talk about the latest drives influencing the country or showcase a new line or work of art.
For their upcoming exhibition at The Stands the duo will be creating and presenting a combination of paintings on canvas and interactive installations styled as skins , an existing part of Oona’s signature fabric alteration artworks; a selection of House of S ōh n pieces developed through responses to the paintings and their collaboration and wearable art which stands as a melting pot of both their practices, truly driving the concept far and beyond an expected end.
