High court on Delhi violence: Can not let another 1984 in the Capital

Taking a strong stand amid the violence that has been relentlessly going on in Delhi for the last few days in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the Delhi High Court has strongly informed that we cannot allow another 1984 in the city.

Along with this advisory, the court soon directed the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi to approach the riot-affected areas and talk to the affected people so that the democratic and secular trust can be restored in the society.

So far, as many as 22 people, unfortunately, have died in the violence that has been going on for the last few days while more than 150 people have been injured in this unprecedented religious violence.
