Prof. Anandajit Goswami who is Director at The School of Behavioural and Social Sciences of Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies has come a long way through his scholarly and educationist journey to finally launch his first Bengali Single Music Album titled – “Chand Jawkhon Hobe Chhad”. An award winning author, scholarly researcher, social and animal rights activist, sportsperson, academic administrator, Prof. Goswami has found out a new expression form of his passion. However, he has been a trained musician, singer, vocalist since an age of ten which started with his training in Prayag Sangeet Gharana of Indian Classical Form. Later on he expanded that core training into his learnings about folk music, western classical, alternative music.
The learning has been continuing along with his lyrical writing which has found expressions in his twenty musical compositions which are available in his SoundCloud and Youtube Channel. He has collaborated with poets like Prof. Sachchidanand Joshi to create a new genre of poetic, storytelling through the compositions like – “Parchaai”, “Shabd” which are available in his SoundCloud channel. Prof. Goswami has also collaborated with vocalist like Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan to create music for peace and sustainability along with his compositions on Climate Action which have been widely circulated in UN and other global platforms like World Sustainable Development Forum.
