Rampant violence in West Bengal, bombardment during voting: Mathurapur

Violence has been observed in every phase of election in West Bengal during Lok Sabha election 2019. In the seventh  and last phase, there are reports of violence during voting. The news is being reported at Mathurpur this time, while a car has been set on fire in Bhatpara seat after firing, bombing.

In West Bengal, 10.54 percent voting has been completed till 9 AM , while the Trinamool Congress candidate Mala Roy from South Kolkata has been stopped at the booth. As per the information, central security forces have stopped Mala Roy on the booth.

In this last phase of Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal, voting is going on in nine seats on Sunday. The constituencies are Dum Dum, Barasat, Basirhat, Jaynagar, Mathurapur, Diamond Harbor, Jadavpur, Kolkata South and Kolkata North.

Polling is going on at 17,058 polling stations, where about 1, 49,10,643 voters will decide the fate of 111 candidates from all the political parties. Out of 111 there are 94 males and 17 females in the list of candidates from West Bengal .
